Welcome to the Froebelian School
Alumni section of our website. This page is designed to enable alumni to make
contact with old friends and keep in touch with each other and with life at the
school.
We currently have almost seven
hundred ‘Ex-Froebelians’ on our database and we are keen to increase this
number, especially in view of the fact that the School’s Centenary is drawing
ever nearer (2013) and we would like as many ex-pupils and their families (and
ex-staff members) as possible to join in our celebrations. If you know of any
ex-pupils who are not receiving copies of our Froebelian Digest, please ask them
to get in touch with the school, as this could mean they are not yet on our
database. Also, please don’t forget to let us have details of any changes of
address or, indeed, changes in your life. We are always interested to hear from
you.
Our termly newsletter,
Froebelian Digest, is sent out to all ex-Froebelians for whom we hold current UK
addresses and we can also send copies by e-mail to those who now live in other
parts of the world. This newsletter will keep you abreast of current happenings
at Froebelian and we are always keen to include items relating to ex-pupils,
e.g. academic and sporting achievements, family news, career development, etc.

Throughout the year there are
many school events at which you would be made most welcome. e.g. Garden Party
(June), Open Day (usually in Sept/October) and PTA Christmas Ball (early
December). Precise dates will be advised in due course.
Towards the end of the Summer
Term each year we host a reception for ex-Froebelians who have just finished
their ‘A’ Levels. This event gives the students an opportunity to ‘catch up’
with their former Froebelian peer group, some of whom they may have had little
or no contact with since they were eleven years of age, before setting out on
the next stage in their lives, either at universities or in the business world.
Over the years there have been
many excellent developments at the school, which still nurtures the same
friendly, family atmosphere that has always been a strong feature over the past
ninety-five years. This is borne out by the number of ex-pupils who recall with
fondness their time at Froebelian and often return for visits.
