Festival Art Project 2010
Festival Art
Project
Inspired by the
James May television programme in which he created an entire garden out of
plasticine for the Chelsea Flower Show children at Froebelian have created
these magnificent blooms. Each class, lead by Mrs Hayfield, the Art
co-ordinator and assisted by enthusiastic mums and dads produced a different
type of flower. The very youngest children in Lower Kindergarten made
simple daisies and caterpillars. The oldest children in Form IV modelled
intricate sweet peas and wired them onto stems. The flowers have been
displayed in large pots and form an impressive backdrop to our week long
spring festival. The flowers will be on display in the school hall until
the end of the summer term. They will then be carefully transported to the
RHS gardens at Harlow Carr where they will be on display to the general
public throughout July.
