Welcome to the Froebelian School website

FORM IV on the European Union

(Year 6)

As part of Multicultural Week, Form IV, our top class, have been focussing on Europe. Their discussion has centered on the EU: What is it's purpose? What is it's logo? What does being a part of the EU mean to us, here in the UK?

The pupils have designed a new logo, displayed on flags. These sometimes incorporate tessellation. Not only did tessellation fit with the maths theme, but signifies continuity and togetherness in Europe.

Also, the children have been learning about the individual countries and have copied their flags (here is just a selection).
