Were you or someone in your family a member of the Froebelian
School (Horsforth) Cub Pack (8th Airedale) in the 1960s? If so,
the school would like to hear from you and invite you to a reunion of pupils
and staff to be held at Froebelian on Monday, 8th March.
This, the second, reunion in the lead up to the Froebelian
School’s Centenary in 2013 will welcome all pupils who left between 1960
and 1969 and also staff members who taught during this particular decade.
At that time a thriving Cub pack (see above photo) was run
under the guidance of leaders, Margaret Bottomley, Audrey Jagger and Muriel
Clarke (shown on the back row) and it would be lovely to put some names to
the Cubs on the picture.
Invitations have been sent out to more than sixty
ex-Froebelians who left in the 60s and who are currently kept in touch with
events and happenings via ‘The Froebelian Digest’, the School’s termly
newsletter.
In addition to these Cubs, there must be many more former
pupils and staff members who may like to ‘come back to school’ and meet up
with people they may not have seen for over forty years and it is hoped that
they will make contact via e-mail
alumni@froebelian.co.uk or telephone 0113-2588774.
