Form IV

Form IV is our Year 6 Class for children aged 10-11. Key Stage 2

In Year 6, all the teaching is provided on a specialist basis to enable the pupils to reach exceptional standards and to help them prepare for the transition to secondary education.

The curriculum is designed to both engage and challenge and it is complemented by homework and pupils are encouraged to read regularly.

Pupils’ learning is enriched through activities, visiting speakers and outings. They also have further experiences and opportunities through music, drama and sporting events and fixtures.

Pupils in Form IV are also given the opportunity to undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as well as participating in a wide range of activities to achieve their FIVe Steps Challenge awards.

The end of the summer term culminates in our annual speech night performance where every pupil plays a part. Last year’s performance was Alice in Wonderland.
