Froebelian School Pupils Fly High above the National Average

We are celebrating the success of our pupils having achieved incredible results in the first National Curriculum Assessments this year– 22% above the National Average.

Headteacher Mrs Dodds said:  “We are delighted to report that the children performed very well against national results. In Form IV, 92% of children achieved the national standard or above in Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling, 91% of children achieved the national standard or above in Maths and 88% of children achieved the national standard or above in Reading.

Form Four Tie Presentation“On average our performance across the range of tests was 22% better than the national picture which, given the widely publicised difficulty of this year’s tests, is an incredible achievement.

“Children in Remove also sat the new tests. 100% of the children met the required national standard in Maths, 96% of the children met the national standard in Reading and 83% met the national standard in Writing – again an amazing achievement.”

Mrs Dodds concluded: “The fantastic results that the children have achieved are testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole school community – the pupils themselves, the staff and the parents.  I am extremely proud of every single pupil.”
