We are absolutely delighted that Matt Johnson will be joining us as our guest speaker at Speech Night this year on Friday 3rd July 2026.
Many will recognise Matt from his successful television career, including presenting on ITV’s This Morning, OK! TV, Surprise Surprise and The Postcode Lottery. However, beyond the screen, Matt has become one of the UK’s most respected advocates for mental health and emotional wellbeing.
As an ambassador for the mental health charity Mind, Matt has spoken openly and courageously about his own experiences with depression, grief and recovery. Through his acclaimed documentary Matt Johnson: Depression and Me, he has helped to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraged thousands of people to seek support and speak openly about their struggles.
Matt is a passionate speaker on resilience, wellbeing and the importance of human connection. His work has taken him to schools, businesses, charities and universities, including speaking with students at the University of Oxford, where he shared his experiences and insights on mental health with young people.
His message of hope, courage and kindness aligns beautifully with our own school values, and we know that his words will leave a lasting impression on our children, families and staff. We very much look forward to welcoming him to The Froebelian School for what promises to be a truly memorable evening.
