Exciting times are ahead for everyone in school. FIV move on to their respective senior schools, all the children move up a class and a small number of staff are moving on to pastures new. We try to encourage the children to embrace change and to take ownership of the process. If we can control our mindset and take a positive attitude towards new challenges and different environments, we are already on the path to success. It might not be plain-sailing but, as I said to FIV at their Leavers’ Assembly on Wednesday: ‘When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.’ (Henry Ford)
