Helping children gain confidence and acting ability

Drama specialist, Mrs Lorraine Taylor-Parker  L.R.A.M (Speech &  Drama) runs a highly popular Drama Club on Friday afternoons – helping children gain confidence and acting ability.
As an ex- pupil and parent Mrs Taylor-Parker began working at Froebelian in 1987 immediately after qualifying. She specialises in Speech and Drama but also teaches Mime, Improvisation, Theatre Skills and Public Speaking.
She also teaches up to sixth Form at Harrogate Ladies College and adjudicates for various festivals in the UK. Lorraine is still in demand for voice over work and also performs herself on stage.
Mrs Taylor-Parker strongly believes that Drama, studied from an early age, greatly increases confidence, improves communication skills and helps develop clear speech.
Her mission has always been to instill a love of theatre and literature and encourage children to perform for pleasure.

Drama Club is so popular it is run in two sessions.

At the end of each year our School Speech Night celebration culmonates in an end of year performance held at at Yeadon Town Hall. These are stunning shows with West End production values.
