The walk spread over three days and included the ascent of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent with associated map reading skills. During the challenge, the children stayed in basic accommodation in Ingleton, where they were responsible for a range of domestic duties, including cleaning, washing up and helping with the preparation of food. This walk is, as you can appreciate, is an arduous one for adults and is a tremendous achievement for 10 and 11year olds.
